    Camp Hanover Capital Campaign Administrative Coordinator (Job Description) Owned and operated by the Presbytery of the James, Camp Hanover is a summer residential camp and year round retreat center in the Richmond area. The Camp is entering into its first capital campaign in over thirty years. The Camp Hanover Capital Campaign Steering Committee is seeking an administrative coordinator for this project. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills, the ability to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers, skills in the use of database software and website management.     Part Time Director of Youth Ministries at Three Chopt Presbyterian Church

    POSITION DESCRIPTION 
    A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION 
    The Director of Youth Ministries, a part-time position, has primary responsibility for the Church’s youth ministry programs for middle school and high school youth with attention given to fellowship, service, Christian education, and spiritual growth. This position reports to the Head of Staff. 
    B. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 
    1. To recruit and retain enthusiastic and committed youth advisors and teachers. 
    2. To train the youth leaders to be capable advisors and teachers to middle school and high school youth. Training includes leadership responsibilities, age and developmental characteristics, Sessional guidelines, discipline and conflict management, team building techniques, planning, and evaluation. 
    3. To provide leadership in selection of Christian education curriculum materials, including separate programs for middle school, high school, confirmation and summer. To order Christian education materials. 
    4. To act as a resource and support person to the advisors, youth, and their families when appropriate. To be open to developing interpersonal relationships with youth. 
    5. To be present as a resource person on Sunday evenings for youth group activities. 
    6. To see that youth ministry programs incorporate a balance of service, study, worship, and recreation. 
    7. To communicate frequently with parents, youth, elders, and volunteer leaders and to ensure that newsletters, brochures, flyers, etc. are prepared to promote youth programs and ministries. 
    8. To perform event planning including registrations, fee collections, contracts, voucher preparation, reimbursements, and budgeting. 
    9. To provide administrative leadership for youth ministries, which includes: 
    a. Breaking down tasks and delegating responsibilities, 
    b. Coordinating the calendar with advisors and checking it against the church calendar, 
    c. Maintaining current and accurate records for all participating youth (e.g., medical release, permission forms, financial records), 
    d. Participating in Youth and their Families Ministry team meetings in the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs, 
    e. Participating in weekly staff meetings, as deemed necessary by the Head of Staff, and 
    f. Participating in Session meetings when deemed necessary by the Head of Staff.
